Higher education association is looking for an experienced, detail oriented, and flexible individual to join our team! A friendly, outgoing person with good communication and organizational skills and who learns quickly will thrive in this fast-paced, energizing environment.
Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and serving onsite for in-person meetings, conferences, and workshops. This position travels 5-8 times a year. Your responsibilities revolve around the successful execution of each event. You will work with event venues in planning and to ensure service expectations while staying within budget. You will also support and work with NCURA members who serve as faculty. Other duties as a meeting manager include maintaining financial and planning documents, logistics details, and any other paperwork necessary for reporting. Your time onsite at meetings is to ensure all logistics are in place and to ensure a positive experience for presenters and attendees.
You must live in Washington, DC, VA or MD to be eligible for this position. The first 30 days you will work from the NCURA Office as you get to know your team and the Organzation. After that, you can work from the office between 1 and 5 days a week. The one day that is required is Thursdays with the Meeting's team. There may be times during the year you may be in an additional day/day(s) a week as activities require.
