Responsible for the overall operation of the 501 (c)6 trade association and 501 (c)3 foundation by overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organizations. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, grant writing and community outreach. Contract position and mostly remote work but onsite at headquarters and events when necessary.
General Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Report directly to the Board of Directors
Develop and lead the strategic planning
Hire, supervise, and support staff and volunteers
Provide leadership for all existing programs as well as developing new programs/services that meet the mission and goals of the organization
Oversee all grant and funded activities to ensure all requirements are met in accordance with the contracts or award notifications including reporting as needed
Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, annual audit and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position
Support and promote Committees and Sections
Identify and apply for additional funding opportunities including grants, foundations and donations to support the strategic goals
Appropriately manage membership and donation database
Identify and recruit new members
Oversee bimonthly magazine
Sell sponsorships for events, ads for magazine and develop partnerships for events and the organization
Communicate effectively with the Board and provide, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions
Recruit and orient new board members or assist the board as needed
Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors to seek their involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of the organization
CAE preferred, knowledge of Office 365, word, excel, database management, social media, zoom, meetings management, budgeting/financial, excellent communication and presentation skills.
