General Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Director, Human Resources is responsible for day-to-day Human Resources functions, including employee relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, performance management and recruiting. The director is expected to help set an example for staff as to the importance of ISRI’s core values of safety and wellness, customer service, diversity, respect, professionalism, continuous improvement and teamwork.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Collaborates with leadership to define the organizations long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
Identifies key performance indicators for the organizations human resource and talent management function; assesses the organizations success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
Develops and implements plans for staff recruiting and retention.
Develops and implements staff training and development plans.
Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, recruiting and employee incentive programs.
Provides guidance and leadership to the staff; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements; works collaboratively with Legal Department and Finance.
Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
Drafts and implements the organizations staffing budget, and the budget for the human resource department.
Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or experience in lieu of degree.
At least ten years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or compensation/benefits highly preferred.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
