The Blue Ridge Association of REALTORS® (BRAR) seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual with a high standard of ethics and professionalism for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Association is headquartered in the upper Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and serves 520+ members.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
Excellent leadership, collaborative, and solid decision-making skills inspire members and staff to embrace BRAR’s vision and strategic goals.
Outstanding communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to leverage relationships to increase BRAR's visibility in the community.
Adaptability to changing trends and communicating those to membership and staff.
Comprehensive knowledge of association/organizational administration, operations, financial management, strategic planning, member relations, and growth.
Ability to ensure the long-term fiscal health of the organization while working with the Board of Directors to maintain safeguards that protect the organization's favorable financial position.
Commitment to network and establish relationships/partnerships at the Local, State, and National Associations.
Relevant designations such as the RCE and/or CAE designations are desired but not required.

(BRAR) was charted by the National Association of REALTORS® on March 20, 1961, by 19 Real Estate Professionals to adopt a standard Code of Ethics and provide better service to the public.
We have grown with the community and the nation. BRAR, with its state and national counterparts, makes up the nation's largest and oldest professional trade group. We advocate for everyone who owns or hopes to own real estate. We are the guardians of the right to own private property, and we do this through education programs and governmental and legislative assistance on local, state, and national levels.
