As a member of the Membership Development & Marketing team, the Membership Marketing Coordinator will implement efforts to support organizational priorities and activities related to the membership development and retention. You will be an effective champion of the Association vision, mission, and brand with a primary focus on recruiting, engaging, and retaining members.
Essential Functions
Create recruitment, retention, and engagement copy for all channels (web, email, digital, social, etc.) that is consistent with ASA brand standards.
Provide ongoing analysis of recruitment and retention campaigns.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns.
Support the Members Services team in the implementation of the Association’s programs, priorities, and projects in partnership with involved staff.
Oversight of the online ASA Community, including implementation of new communities, creation of microsites, ongoing technical support, and strong working relationships with community stakeholders.
Planning and onsite support of our annual Joint Statistical Meetings, including membership related events and support of the Career Service, Exhibition Hall and ASA Store.
Serve as an ASA representative at events.

The Ideal Candidate will possess:
Bachelor's Degree, required, or equivalent experience.
Three to five years of experience, preferably in association membership marketing.
Ability to plan, implement, track, and analyze marketing and member development initiatives across platforms.
Excellent project and time management skills, including strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent follow-through.
Curiosity and the motivation and drive to learn new skills and research areas related to membership development.
Ability to work independently as well as a part of a collaborative team, including professional relationship management skills of building confidence, rapport, and trust.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Qualified candidate must be capable of working independently and extensively with other departments of the ASA; be detail and deadline oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks; possess excellent communication skills and have proficiency with common computer applications and familiarity with web marketing. Experience managing online communities or significant work experience in online peer-to-peer community building within an association position, or work-related social media expertise is highly desired. The position is primarily remote, with approximately 1 day a week in person. Some travel for in person conference support is required, at most twice a year. Strong, reliable internet and familiarity with digital platforms is necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
