PERC has an amazing opportunity for a Senior Manager, Grants and State Support. The first energy council of its kind, the PROPANE EDUCATION & RESEARCH COUNCIL (PERC) works with the propane industry, consumers, and partner industries to increase the adoption of propane as a clean, affordable, and reliable energy source. This position is classified as exempt and we’re looking for the right candidate to be based out of the Richmond, VA area, or will consider a remote location for the perfect candidate.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Industry Relations and provides important project management and analysis support for the Executive Management Team and Industry Relations team. The Senior Manager will also work closely with the Senior Vice President, Finance, Data and Technology, and the Finance team.
The Senior Manager is primarily responsible for managing and administering the state assessment rebate program as required by the Propane Education and Research Act and PERC’s grant funding program. As a member of the Industry Relations team, you’ll work closely with the PERC team on communications and outreach activities with propane industry members, many of whom are grantees and reviewers.
Technical administration of Fluxx grant making database, preparing reports and analysis of our grant making to support decision making, and administering additional small grant programs for the propane industry.
Conducts initial review of funding requests and final reports for completeness and adherence to PERC’s Polices, Rules and Procedures and program guidelines.
Coordinates the review of funding requests and reports. Develops review timelines and hosts internal review discussions, as needed.
Prepares reports for grantees, Executive Management Team, Council, and PERC’s Annual Report.
For State Grants:
Updates and maintains state fund balances; completes quarterly reconciliation reports with Finance Team.
Provides support for grantees developing project concepts and completing grant program requirements.
Updates and maintains program information in PERC’s Grants Management System (Fluxx), works with vendor on support needs, system updates and functionality as they relate to the administration of the grant programs.
Provides technical support to applicants, reviewers, and PERC staff.
Travels to industry meetings and events to participate and/or to present as needed
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:
3-5 years of directly related experience
Knowledge of and experience working in grant management systems, contact relationship management databases, and email marketing platforms is required.
Ability to problem solve
Ability to present complex materials
Advanced ability with the following systems: MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Fluxx; Hubspot.
