Position Purpose: The Manager, Education Strategy and Design is responsible for collaborating with AACE’s teams and stakeholders across the organization on the design and delivery of innovative live learning programs and resources designed to meet the best practices in instructional design. The Manager, Education Strategy and Design will manage the AACE live learning programs to include the Annual Meeting, Endocrine University, Fall Meeting, Certificate program and online activities. The Manager collaborates with external subject matter experts and staff across all departments, including marketing, member services, IT and meetings in order to maximize the impact of AACE’s live and online educational programs for physician and non-physician learners.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the design and implementation of innovative live learning programs from conceptualization through development and practical delivery of learner-centric educational programs.
- Plan, develop, design, implement and evaluate continuing medical education activities to meet the educational needs of practicing endocrinologists and their care teams to close practice gaps in compliance with all accreditation and maintenance of certification standards and guidelines.
- Manage live learning program operations, evaluate, and align processes to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate across AACE departments with all program stakeholders (education, marketing, member services, finance, and IT) to facilitate adherence to production timelines from inception through program launch.
- Collaborate with the Director, Evaluation, Measurement, and Assessment to evaluate live learning programs to ensure their continuous improvement.
- Manage the live learning components of grant-funded educational offerings
- Manage the education proposal process, including vendor contract negotiations/communications with cadmium.
- Serve as staff liaison to the Annual Program Committee, Endocrine University and Fall Meeting committees.
- Serve as on-site staff for live learning programs, as assigned.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Who You Are:
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Training, Educational Technology or Professional Development or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5-6 years’ applicable experience in managing the administrative aspect of live learning programs for healthcare professionals’ adult and continuing professional development
- Management experience dealing with diverse audiences and needs. Candidates must have prior experience managing volunteer groups while being responsible for multiple educational programs. Excellent internal and external customer service skills are essential.
- CME/CE experience and association experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement accredited programs in a variety of innovative settings and formats.
- Knowledge in accreditation requirements for granting continuing education and able to organize documentation to demonstrate compliance preferred.
- Ability to master complex systems quickly and translate technical information for novices to easily understand.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and to plan effectively to avoid problems.
- Professionalism: Good judgment; ability to interact with all levels of staff, volunteers, and vendors.
- Fiscal experience with program budget management.
- Self-starter, with ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Project management experience using tools like Wrike
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other business tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
