Outstanding opportunity for an experienced trade association or home care leader. The Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts seeks a new Executive Director to lead our continued growth. The Executive Director serves as the Chief Staff Executive of the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, Inc., a 501 (C)(6) trade association, and of the Foundation for Home Health, Inc. its 501 (C)(3) educational subsidiary. The Executive Director assists the Board of Directors in articulating the organization’s mission and vision and in setting and achieving goals; directs an effective program of member services and education to meet the needs of the membership; maintains an effective government affairs program to represent the interests of home care agencies to state and national legislatures and regulatory agencies; oversees day to day operations and $1.4M budget, including oversight of 6.4 FTE staff; and represents the Alliance to the public and in collaborating with other organizations.
Four-year degree at a minimum; advanced degree and/or CAE designation desirable Three or more years of management experience in a non-profit association or a related business Strong leadership, collaboration, and communications skills Ability to work effectively with diverse groups both internally and externally Ability to think proactively and creatively to identify opportunities important to the Alliance’s members Experience with budgeting, fiscal planning, and strategic thinking Experience in working with volunteers, boards, and committees Occasional travel required
