The Georgia Society of Association Executives, Inc., (GSAE) seeks an enthusiastic, motivated, and organized self-starter to coordinate membership, communications, and meetings in a small, fast-paced association office in downtown Atlanta (Peachtree Center).
The ideal candidatewill have excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience in membership services and/or communications, exceptional time-management skills, and the ability to work with committed, engaged volunteers as well as independently. The manager will work collaboratively with the president to nurture and advance GSAE’s member-focused culture.
This position reports to the president and may include:
Membership: Represent GSAE in various capacities and serve as staff liaison to committees and/or shared interest groups (SIGs) as assigned. Coordinate membership recruitment and retention efforts. Assist in the design of membership marketing materials. Promote membership information to prospective members. Produce membership and engagement trend reports.
Communications: Coordinate the association’s communications and publications, including, but not limited to, solicit and edit content for the monthly e-newsletter, quarterly magazine, and annual membership directory; creatively assess and update promotional materials for events; organize master communications calendar. Develop and maintain web site content. Enhance GSAE’s social media presence, including management of GSAEtv.
Meetings: Coordinate logistics of quarterly luncheons and other in-person events; serve as a staff liaison to event venues; provide onsite event management and direct volunteer team. For the Annual Meeting: create and maintain marketing plan, online registration, tradeshow prospectus, and signage; coordinate exhibit sales, app, and interactive map for sponsors and exhibitors; supervise onsite intern and manage volunteer team.
Administrative:Provide administrative support as needed, including processing and reconciling payments, registrations, membership applications, and product requests. Manage office supplies, inventory, mailings, and act as primary liaison with various vendors.Coordinate two Silent Auctions annually.
College degree preferred.
Computer literate and comfortable in a Windows-based environment.
Attention to detail, members-first mentality required.
Previous association or volunteer experience desired.
Familiarity with Zoom, database management, desktop publishing (Adobe suite), social media marketing, and web site maintenance helpful.
Telecommuting is allowed.
