We are looking for someone to join our team as the Manager, Research Content Production. The Manager, Research Content Production, works as part of a team to produce ASAE Research Foundation content that supports practical application and greater knowledge across the association management community.
Primary responsibilities are (a) developing, coordinating, or executing content production and engagement plans to advance comprehension and practical application of ASAE Research Foundation outputs and (b) supporting messaging and outreach focused on research findings, connections between donorship and research, and other project-based content.

Serve as the content liaison to specific research initiatives, working with researchers and volunteers to guide and refine research outputs according to project expectations and to support audience applications.
Develop, support, and execute content distribution and engagement plans across diverse channels and in collaboration with multiple ASAE teams, including web, editorial, marketing, volunteer relations, and learning.
Serve as the primary liaison to report production designer to coordinate production of all research outputs.
Serve as the manager for the resource publication process, creating product records in the database and working with web and editorial teams to ensure completed products are made available online.
Serve as a liaison to the marketing team for the production of other research content, including infographics, video, and other products.
Identify critical research takeaways for key audiences and apply those insights to inform content development, distribution, and engagement plans.
Manage and integrate research into the foundation’s written and graphic-based content channels, including the website, infographics, social media, and other media, and the GroundWork newsletter. This includes identifying timely and relevant content, writing copy, and delivering content on time via relevant platforms.
Manage planning and PowerPoint or other materials preparation in support of staff research presentations to external audiences.
Contribute to team product development planning (e.g., developing product recommendations, editing publishing products).
Coordinate and integrate content feedback from volunteers on research outputs for assigned initiatives.
Recruit and manage volunteer writers for articles and resources on foundation research, as needed.
Highly-developed writing, fact-checking, and proofreading skills.
Ability to identify practical insights and supporting examples from research outputs and to translate and relate technical material for broad understanding and practical use.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required.
Experience writing for social media preferred.
Comfort with using online platforms and databases required; proficiency and experience working in content management systems to post and tag web content preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment This position operates remotely or in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Physical Demands This position requires the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Work hours are flexible; office core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. Due to the pandemic, this position is temporarily remote.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Minimum of three years of experience in an editorial, content development, or other project management position with responsibility for the management and execution of content initiatives, programs, or other output-driven work.
Experience extracting insights, implications, and key findings from data or other evidentiary sources or demonstrated ability to do so.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience with associations, nonprofit organizations, or parallel member-serving organizations preferred.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
