We are seeking an Associate Director, Development & Strategic Partnerships, to serve key roles in assisting with revenue generation and in providing valuable new programs and services to members and strategic partners. You will be a key member of the Development team, helping to shape and implement innovative new initiatives and support our growing impact and reach globally. Additionally, you will act as point person in identifying and developing global sponsorship opportunities in support of the Society’s global strategy and identifying new partnership opportunities to expand the Society’s donor outreach into new areas. We are looking for a candidate who is collaborative and innovative to serve as the lead for new business concepts and work closely with cross functional teams and member leaders to develop new products and to build a portfolio of innovative programs and products to serve diverse stakeholder needs.

What you’ll bring to the job:

BA/BS (advanced degree preferred); experience in healthcare or pharma a plus.
3 or more years’ successfully leading development, fundraising initiatives, sales, and donor campaigns; holding the designation CFRE is a plus.
Record of achievement in cultivating and managing multi-year agreements.
Outstanding ability to track and nurture relationships with donors and volunteers.
Superb negotiation skills that yield positive benefits for all parties.
Experience with international audiences is a plus.
Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
An entrepreneurial spirit; comfort in taking calculated risks
A love of championing new business relationships with ability to recognize the implementation of details as a key determinant of any sustained agreements.
Affinity for presenting in front of both small and large groups.
A deep interest in healthcare and drive to learn about the dynamic forces affecting such.

What you’ll own:

In collaboration with the Chief Strategic Partnerships Officer, identifies and recommends opportunities that may provide one time or continuous, multi-year revenue contributions to the Endocrine Society. This includes soliciting ideas from staff and leadership on potential revenue-generating programs.
Identify, cultivate, and solicit corporate funding partners and donors to support Endocrine Society projects, meetings, and other related activities.
Serves as primary resource to the Chief Strategic Partnerships Officer in developing business proposals and coordinating grant efforts for special projects. Provides strategic and tactical input on how Endocrine Society departments may design programs and projects that address key member needs but also be supported by external parties or strategic partners.
Serves as a staff lead for coordinating and conducting necessary primary research, market and competitive analysis, budget development, needs assessments and demand analysis for new business concepts that are approved for additional due diligence and evaluation.
Represents the Society to stakeholders by participating in industry functions and meetings, Society committee meetings to include our Corporate Liaison Board.
Identify new revenue generating opportunities for the Society, through an outreach to life sciences and lifestyle companies and foundations operating in the endocrine space. Build a strategy of engagement with these organizations that are aligned with Society priorities and business objectives.
Implement a global outreach to sponsors outside the US in support of the Society global strategy. This includes building relationships with sponsors, aligning priorities, and identifying collaboration opportunities.
Lead the development, expansion, and implementation of Society special programs, such as EndoCares, consensus conferences, and primary care collaborative.
Manage the grant writing process and coordinate with the program development team on identifying program designs that meet the need of sponsors.
