MAIN PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
The American Cleaning Institute’s (ACI) Government Affairs Department operates at the federal, state and local levels across the country. The incumbent assists the General Counsel & Senior Vice President, Government Affairs in managing and directing the outside legislative and certain shared regulatory interests of the Institute. This will include the development and implementation of ACI legislative and targeted regulatory policy with respect to federal issues, laws and standards to further Institute interests.
The incumbent will have issue responsibility for policy oversight with respect to legislative and certain regulatory interactions and non-scientific external communications. Interaction with external stakeholders as well as ACI members is a critical function of the position. The incumbent will independently, in consultation with, or at the direction of the General Counsel & Senior Vice President, Government Affairs, work to further ACI programs aligned with ACI strategic goals and related priorities including the Government Affairs Committee and the ACI Political Action Committee (ACI PAC).
