We are currently seeking a VP Global Sales and Product Marketing to join our team. Leading a global business development, sales and product marketing team, this role will develop strategies and integrated execution plans that achieve clearly defined revenue goals with a focus on building high-value partnerships. The role will establish economic and other partnerships with healthcare technology and digital platform companies, integrated delivery networks, healthcare service organizations, professional services organization, publishing, content, education, and distribution companies. This position brings industry and technical experience, strategic perspective, excellent business development skills, B2B lead generation and the ability to clarify and summarize complex issues with an attention to detail. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop, lead, and implement a cohesive plan for global business development with a focus on revenue generation and contribution margin. The strategic plan will include clear business objectives, measurable performance targets, sales budgets, concrete marketing plans and tactics, and an executable framework for prioritizing opportunities within the context of AHIMA’s mission.
- Work with AHIMA’s leadership to explore, frame, and operationalize partnership strategies, including acquisitions, partnerships, investments, licensing agreements, and other strategic commercial opportunities.
- Leads strategic and client planning sessions with all internal constituents to ensure understanding of how the team can meet client needs and innovate new product and service ideas where needed.
- Lead and implement the full sales cycle, including B2B and product lead generation, opportunity identification and prioritization, needs analysis, presentation of solutions, negotiation and contracting and delivery.
- Works collaboratively with Business leaders, communication, legal, IT and finance.
- Create and deliver on a channel sales plan that delivers profitable revenue for content, publishing and online education programs.
- Assign and execute comprehensive plans for each revenue-generating staff member: revenue targets, key account assignments, commission plans and key metrics.
- Manages ROI and marketing automation metrics to deliver on revenue plan.
- Manage the team to deliver on monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
- Utilize professional network to gather insight from healthcare industry leaders and develop valued programs that benefit both AHIMA and the potential industry partner.
- Work with internal teams to ensure organizational understanding of partner requirements and how these are integral to AHIMA’s objectives.
- Analyze industry dynamics, evaluate new opportunities and technologies, and assess the competitive landscape to define partnerships that can be formed to support AHIMA’s key initiatives; develop business models to analyze deals and performance.
- Establishes and maintains active contacts within client and prospect organizations; interfaces and gains their trust. Identify and confirm the goals and challenges these client organizations face; construct and present compelling value propositions.
- Manages and prioritizes all opportunities to enhance client relationships and accelerates the decision-making process that will grow revenue
- Manages and grows B2B sales and marketing talent.
- Directs staff in the design, sales and outreach, contracting, and fulfillment of the products and services offered.
- Contribute to AHIMA as a senior leader; provide cultural and business leadership by demonstrating proficiency in health information, business development, formal and informal communication.
- Identifies lead generation, CRM/Association management system and other tools to aid the team in closing deals, developing standard contracts, nurturing consultative relationships, demonstrating service excellence and extend client service principles throughout the team. Is responsible for ensuring all leads, prospect and client information remains in the AHIMA CRM.
