The Manager of IT and Database Operations manages projects and activities related to the operation and general administration of the NALP iMIS database and daily operations. This position collaborates with all departments to manage database functionality, website content, requirements and technical enhancements as they relate to our database. In addition, the position is primarily responsible for managing Office 365, Desk-Side Support, IT Equipment, event application, webinars and telephone system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain an effective, accurate, working database
Manage/oversee the database, including training, management of any software upgrades, bridges, and creation of queries (IQA’s) for all staff departments, as needed.
Manage relationships with outside vendors, including database reseller and ASI, to ensure the best use of association resources.
Maintain iMIS staff site for daily staff use. This includes dashboards, standard reports for staff to run independently, ability for staff to quickly and easily process financial transactions.
Identify systemic user interface issues and provide long term solutions to improve the user experience as well as reduce troubleshooting needs.
Work with appropriate staff to help maintain the integrity of the database.
Work with Finance Department to ensure a smooth month-end closure of all financial transactions.
Maintain current training in iMIS 20.2, including RiSE and Process Automation.
Sets up and managers API’s with email client, app or other programs.
Assist with proper setup and maintenance of marketing lists and API programing.
Project management for web site updates, projects, and connectivity with iMIS database.
Ensure valid and efficient web transactions.
Monitor and make changes as needed to achieve PCI compliance.
Staff Support and Development
Allocate resources to meet objects and investigate and implements ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Association
Actively research and experiment to improve systems and offer solutions/options
Provide IT/logistical/administrative support at off-site functions (meetings, events, etc.)
Instruct others in highly technical electronic technology
Provide Office 365 Help/Training to all staff, conduct quarterly overview of new features
Responsible for all IT Equipment for NALP events and staff requests
Provide desk-side support for day-to-day IT issues as they arise
Able to resolve conflicts directly, quickly and completely; be able to give/take criticism
Perform additional duties as assigned to further support the NALP organization
Manage project plans or “to-do” lists representing work tasks and timing
Coordinate with internal staff to gather project requirements and content

Resource Management and Acquisition
Ensure acquisition, viability, availability, compatibility, installation, functionality, repair and management of the association’s electronic technology equipment, sites and services both in-house and off-site
Analyze staff technology needs and the appropriate prioritization of necessary actions and executions
Handle professional selection, use and activities of all IT vendors and suppliers
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years’ experience.
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of HTML, and PHP; ASP.NET knowledge preferred
Strong knowledge of the Office 365 platform and softwares
Knowledge or experience working with Email Solution Providers, i.e., Higher Logic
Working knowledge and comprehensive understanding of responsive web design
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Dreamweaver preferred
3-5 years of experience in a business-to-business and/or association environment preferred
A proven track record in employing the Internet, Web and social media to support and accelerate major marketing objectives
