The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) is searching for a Manager of Committees and Education. The incumbent will help to leverage the power of the association through member engagement. He/she will manage the operations of IANA’s standing committees and support all educational programming. Summary of Duties:
Committees and Task Forces: Manage the operations and activities of IANA’s 3 standing committees and all sub-groups, their related work plans and deliverables, conference calls and meetings.
Education Programs: Provide support to IANA’s educational programming for live events and webinars including content development, speaker recruitment/administration, session administration, program delivery and evaluation.
Other Duties: work on cross-functional projects with other IANA staff, including support of the Future Intermodal Leaders Program and IANA’s Scholarship Program.
Qualifications and Experience
BS/BA degree required
Work experience in a trade association environment, highly desired
Knowledge of freight transportation, highly desired
Organized, innovative, and motivated self-starter
Project management experience, highly desired
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks while meeting assigned deadlines
Must possess high levels of verbal, interpersonal and writing skill
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience using association management systems (netForum), highly desired
Ability to quickly learn and be proficient with new systems and technology such as the survey software (Survey Monkey), mobile apps, databases and project management systems
