The American Urological Association (AUA), the premier urologic association providing support to the urologic community, is currently searching for an energetic, detail-oriented candidate for our Marketing Specialist position.
This position, under the direction of the Marketing Senior Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of the PM community; develops the PM monthly newsletter, supports the development of PM strategy and implements lead generation, engagement, and retention initiatives; works with the appropriate teams to enhance PM benefits including but not limited to educational offerings, webcasts, Coding Tips, etc. Supports the Senior Manager in overseeing the PM Committee and responsible for developing PM podcast series.
The individual in this position will:
Utilizes the Real Magnet marketing automation platform to administer, promote, track and monitor metrics of the Practice Managers’ benefits and campaigns.
Generates copy, target messaging, & target audiences for new & existing PM products for increased awareness and revenue opportunities.
Oversees & manages online communities & platforms for the PM including (but not limited to) the PMN Listerv, Sharefile, Higher Logic communities, etc.
Cultivates efforts to obtain feedback and direction on any new efforts related to PM including but not limited to new products, services, and marketing tactics and collect data & metrics on revenue generating ventures.
Provides recommendations on new products and services to be tested and launched and works with MarComm to prepare Marketing Plans for each product and service annually.
Provides direct assistance to the Sr. Manager in identifying practice challenges and establishing need for further research.
Consults with various PM and AUA staff about valuable information to be gathered in order to maximize the benefit of each outreach activity.
Provides administrative and communication support for recruitment and retention campaigns and initiatives, to include email and message creation/distribution, database entry, follow-ups and tracking. Assists with tracking of metrics of campaigns by setting up market codes in Personify and understanding tracking mechanisms that can be used in our email system.
Execute, with the support of the Marketing team, all initiatives arising from the PM Committee.
Work with the appropriate teams to develop, execute and market other PM benefits such as webcasts, Coding Tips, and related.

Candidates must be able to provide superior service delivery to internal and external customers while working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. It is essential that the individual in this role have strong organizational, project management, and communication skills. In addition:
BA or BS required. Marketing or Social Science degree preferred
Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with online marketing automation systems, community platforms and social media tools.
3-4 years communications/marketing experience, preferably in individual member associations.
Experience coordinating projects.
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and organize work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to function well in, and contribute to a team environment, but also work independently.
This position may be required to represent the AUA at the AUA Annual Meeting, and possible other conferences and will be required to have the physical stamina to stand for extended periods of time, walk throughout the day to various parts of convention centers and potentially work long hours during events.
Ability to lift/handle objects and boxes during packing at conferences.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple work assignments.
Self-started who is detail-oriented and highly organized.
Excellent communications and customer service skills.
Strong team work and problem solving skills
