The Digital Media Production Manager shapes and serves as producer for the creation of digital content generated in-house and through external resources from concept to delivery. Projects will include video, webinars, and podcasts for educational and promotional purposes. The role is accountable for the management of resources, schedules, and quality related to media production. This is a highly collaborative position that is interconnected with Education, I&T, Marketing, Organization Affairs, and Publishing. This role is a resource to the internal teams and volunteer leaders at CHEST, providing guidance and services for multimedia initiatives.

Produce digital content from concept through to delivery, aiding in script development, storyboarding, acquisition of stock footage, filming, and editing for projects across the organization.
Shape concepts in working with staff and volunteer stakeholders to maximize the value and impact of proposed media series or endeavors and ensure alignment with the CHEST mission and strategic plan and the intended audience.
Engage with video/audio subjects to set expectations, coach, and put participants at east.
Identify and maintain a network of trusted vendors and partners to leverage for production and post-production services on a project basis; support the development and monitoring of required budgets.
Maintain a centralized calendar of media production activities and output.
Liaise on a regular cadence with key staff from Education, Marketing and Communications, Organizational Affairs, and Publishing to understand upcoming needs or desires.
Serve as a resource to appropriate physician volunteer bodies, such as the Social Media Workgroup or the journal Deputy Editor of Web and Multimedia, from ideation through execution.
Manage and monitor resources, budgets, schedules and media production expectations.
Coordinate the schedule and logistics for the CHEST multimedia studio, and be the first point of contact for staff and volunteers utilizing the studio. Create call sheets for all activities recording in the studio.
Support coordination of media activities during large-scale CHEST events, such as the Annual Meeting, ensuring effectiveness of external vendors and efforts; serve as a resource to the meetings team as needed related to audio/visual matters.
Ensure proper archiving and filing of all media assets.
Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in film/video or broadcasting.
Experience working on small- and large-scale film projects and wearing multiple hats (ie, scripting, directing, filming, editing, producing) with an emphasis on story-telling or conveying a message.
Demeanor that enables ease of interact with senior staff, volunteer leaders, and members in order to effectively interpret goals, content, and technical requirements.
Possess a demeanor and understand strategies to put film and broadcasting subjects at ease and enable them to share their stories or fulfill their part in multimedia endeavors.
Experienced, demonstrated ability in creating and editing with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including (but not limited to) Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, and After Effects.
Strong writing skills and ability to translate concepts to scripts and shape pieces written by others to maximize impact, and understanding of how to use graphics to enhance video and how to tell brand stories.
Experienced, demonstrated ability with A/V and multimedia equipment: HD camera, teleprompter, switching components, converters, microphones, audio mixer, studio lighting, video backdrop, and green screen.
Experience identifying and overseeing external vendors; understanding how to balance internal and external resources.
Track record as a flexible team player and self-starter with the ability to multitask projects.
Knowledge of membership-based organizational dynamics.
Possess a sense of urgency, strong organizational, and follow up skills.
Ability to work both independently, and/or with a cross-functional team that includes all levels of the organization.
Ability to produce high quality deliverables on budget and on time.
