NAHB is seeking a dynamic B2B sales professional who will manage and grow sponsorship programs within the association in order to increase non-dues revenue. Using consultative sales tactics, he/she will identify, develop and negotiate sponsorship agreements with product manufacturers and industry service providers, helping them achieve their unique marketing goals. He/she will have revenue budget responsibility for several existing key programs. He/she will also market video production services.
Qualified candidates will be self-directed, creative, and have excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills. Superior listening and creative problem-solving skills are a must. Candidates should also have demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to multi-task and successfully handle an ever-increasing number of major initiatives simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player who seeks to further elevate the goals of teammates and the mission of the department.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of progressive experience selling sponsorship programs or advertising, with an in-depth knowledge of sales, advertising, sponsorship, and business development and a track record of consistently exceeding revenue goals. Experience in trade shows, non-profits or association management, and home building or building products industry a plus. Experience working with advertising agencies and selling video-related products is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and knowledge of CRM tools are required. A Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing or related field, or the equivalent in education and experience, is also required.
