The Water Environment Federation (WEF) is seeking a Meeting Manager to work with our Conferences and Events Management team. This position is responsible for the flawless execution of VIP/Board arrangements and event logistics from inception through completion, including onsite management and post event.
Manages show management functions at the WEFTEC headquarter hotel(s) to include VIP housing/rooming lists, developing & managing a budget; coordinating logistics; producing the event resume for the hotel(s) & other vendors as applicable; and managing headquarter hotel functions on-site.
Manages the Midyear Meeting to include contracting venues; developing & managing a budget; overseeing conference registration; coordinating logistics; producing the event resume for the venue & other vendors as applicable; and managing functions on-site.
Manages the Stockholm Junior Water Prize U.S. National Competition, to include contracting venues; developing & managing a budget; coordinating logistics; producing the event resume for the venue & other vendors as applicable; assisting with volunteer coordination; and managing functions on-site to ensure the program meets the established goals and objective.
Manages the annual Board of Trustees Retreat, and other off-site meetings, contracting venues; developing & managing a budget; coordinating logistics; and producing the event resume for the host venue & other vendors as applicable.
Manages catering services for show management functions held at the convention center during WEFTEC.
Assists exhibiting companies, WEF Member Associations, and other customers with booking meetings and receptions at the headquarter hotel(s) and convention center during WEFTEC.
Travel to WEFTEC is required.

Qualifications and Desired Attributes:
4-year degree, plus 6-8 years meeting planning experience, preferably in an association environment.
CMP designation preferred.
Extensive experience managing Board events and VIPs.
Computer literate with Microsoft Office 365 suite of products.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the year.
Excellent organizational skills.

Strong presentation skills.
Good basic math skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines for multiple projects.
