The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) is searching for an Information Systems Coordinator to provide support for core software systems, including the association management system (AMS) and/or customer relationship management (CRM) system and integration support for major systems that exchange data with the AMS/CRM (e.g., identity management system, e-mail marketing system) and other organization-wide data systems. This position will serve as a team member for ensuring large-scale association system features and functionality are effectively supporting the organizations business processes. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Stays up-to-date on system features and functionality and applies that knowledge to support departments in their use of those systems.
Coordinates the execution of major processes (e.g., membership renewals, load testing).
Documents business processes related to these systems.
Manages system upgrades and supports staff training needs.
Provides troubleshooting support to front-line customer service technicians.
Ensures SfN makes effective use of vendor programs and services, according to contracts.
Assists customer service technicians in maintaining a suite of training resources in various formats to help staff use and maximize the AMS, CMS, and other key systems.
Provide report development support for the AMS and integrated systems including data warehouse analysis.
Serve as team leader for AMS-related projects including integrations and new development.
Ensure data integrity guidelines are followed for the AMS/CRM to be sure accurate data is available for analysis.
Assist with gathering of functional specifications and requirements for process optimizations as well as new development.
Effectively manage vendor relationships for AMS/CRM system and provide project management support for integrated projects.
Provide monthly reports to Information Systems Manager and Director of Technology.
Works with staff to ensure they are leveraging current reporting solutions, understanding trends, and achieving success.
Ensures data quality and accuracy within the data warehouse, as well as source systems.
Identifies and resolves data quality problems through appropriate process design strategies, as well as error detection and correction tests and procedures.
Reports to management on the progress of data quality improvement.
Manages projects related to data quality, including new methods of collecting data through front-end systems and making meaningful ties to existing data.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Degrees in Information Systems, Engineering or a related field preferred.
3-4 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience working in AMS/CRM support role.
Experience in dealing with technology vendors and writing, reviewing, and testing functional system requirements.
Proficiency in using MS Word, knowledge of MS SQL or comparable data systems and have the ability to learn new software quickly.
Ability to work independently, with little supervision, and to work effectively to complete tasks and take initiative.
Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented and able to set priorities.
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced, small team environment with a high degree of collaboration.
