We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented individual who can leverage the latest techniques and technologies available to serve our members in these three main areas:
Manage all phases of new member recruitment .
Manage all phases of renewals and reinstatements.
Maintenance and integrity of Society’s member and prospects database.
Prepares monthly membership reports.
Assists in creating and monitoring annual membership budget.
Ensures member services staff are properly trained on data entry protocols as well as customer service.
Marketing/Website/Social Media Support
Works closely with the management company’s meetings department on annual meeting marketing and other materials
Manages all exhibits, advertising and sponsorships.
Provides support for the upkeep and maintenance of the website.
Supports consistent Society branding across all platforms.
Designs or works with designers to provide web banners and ads, annual meeting graphics (signage, banners, etc.), and other work as needed.
Write posts or tweets for the Society’s Twitter and Facebook accounts promoting meetings and events, new award recipients, newly elected Governing Board members, and other programs and initiatives run by the Society.
Tracks and analyzes social media hits and website metrics.
Provides support to executive director representing the Psychonomic Society attending regional or international meetings when necessary.
Assists in creating and monitoring annual marketing budget
Produces materials necessary for the Governing Board and/or committees to complete its assignments, including board books, nomination materials for awards and fellows, and proposals for Calls, etc.
Manages relationship with AMS provider.
Works with our management company's account director, manages production of all awards/fellows recognitions (i.e. glass awards, certificates, letters) as well as communications with nominators on decisions.
Updates web pages on rolling basis to reflect up-to date information, including new fellows, award winners, videos, news, deadlines, etc. Provides ongoing review of website for information needing updating/refreshing.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
A commitment to the Psychonomic Society’s mission and strategic plan.
A bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in a non-profit, individual membership organization, comparable experience will be considered. Experience in the scientific community is a plus.
An ability to engage with colleagues across all areas of the Society in the development and execution of initiatives and projects.
