The ACG Chicago Digital & Marketing Manager will manage/execute the day-to-day of ACG Chicago’s marketing message on programs, conferences, benefits and organizational developments. Join our small but energetic staff that works closely with each other under the direction of the CEO. This individual will be responsible for serving as the creative/graphics lead and overseeing the organization’s email and website platforms as well as social media and print. He/she is expected to work collaboratively across the organization and with myriad external stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand Management
Develop and execute communications strategies for each event that supports the targeted audiences including regular email campaigns for each.
Serve as the brand manager, ensuring consistency of message, look and feel of all communications products.
Edit and maintain existing marketing materials, including letterhead, sponsor & membership materials, business cards, etc.
Edit and grow the organization’s media gallery (photo library, event documents, videos, etc) including taking photos at events.
Serve as primary point person for maintaining website & media gallery;
Conduct weekly website audit to ensure content is fresh, links and pages are functional, and protocol is being followed.
Work with staff and committees to develop, edit and approve content.
Email Marketing & Advocacy
Work with team to grow and nurture email lists, ensuring accuracy of data and proper use of lists.
Manage campaign/editorial calendars for email marketing.
Format and send all marketing emails, including re-instituting a weekly newsletter.
Manage and expand relevant social media platforms.
Monitor social media platforms for mentions and engagement opportunities.
Answer or refer to knowledgeable ACG Chicago sources questions and engagements from social media audiences.
Research ongoing updates to social media platforms and emerging trends.
Prepare email marketing, web traffic and social media metrics and reports. Weekly for staff meetings and monthly for Board reports
Provide staff/board/committee training on digital media platforms and ensure established digital media protocols and best practices are being followed.
Execute special projects as required, including marketing support for strategic initiatives and events.
Bachelor’s degree in graphics, marketing or related field.
3-5 years of experience in media, graphics, communications.
Graphic design experience (Adobe Creative Cloud), including creating marketing materials.
Basic HTML understanding and website management experience (Drupal and/or WordPress). Cvent and Abila NetForum experience a plus
Strong knowledge of and skills in social media platforms.
Photography and video editing experience is a plus.
Strong writing and editing abilities; knowledge of AP writing style.
Ability to work on many projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
