The Development Manager, Strategic Partnerships is the primary grant writer for SWE. The Development Manager will be responsible for all aspects of SWE’s fundraising efforts from private, government and corporate foundations. This manager collaborates with other employees to develop new funding opportunities and ensures all grant deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Create and manage annual plan for foundation fundraising and manage the overall process of soliciting and stewarding support from private, government and corporate foundations, supporting SWE’s domestic and international programming. • Work with SWE staff to develop and write high-quality grant proposals and reports while meeting funder requirements, deadlines and specifications. • Generate leads, cultivate prospects, and develop relationships with program officers from the different agencies. • Write solicitation letters and other materials as needed. • Other tasks as assigned, including support of SWE’s corporate fund-raising activities, department events and special initiatives including supporting SWE’s Annual Conference. • Work across departments to ensure various deliverables associated with funded proposals are achieved.
