This is a non-exempt, full-time position, which provides support to and is responsible for various administrative duties for the Membership department. This customer service and relationship-building position is the first line of communication with members and customers. The Membership Coordinator maintains the integrity of the SLAS member database (iMIS) and works closely with the Professional Team to implement membership recruitment, retention and engagement plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Senior Membership manager with recruitment, retention and engagement activities including data entry and management, assisting with campaigns and monitoring engagement scoring.
Monitor and respond to member and customer inquiries via mail, email, phone, communities and website.
Fulfill membership database administration tasks, including maintaining database, updating/adding/deleting records, dues invoicing and renewals, list generation, login and password requests
Coordinate member data downloads as requested
Ensure seamless integrations with third-party member services providers requiring membership credentials (Learning Management System, Abstract submissions, Registration, Career Connections, Publications, etc.))
Produce membership reports, such as paid member counts, demographics, renewal and retention statistics, selection, provision and management of list provision needs.
Ensuring accurate member counts for reporting and dues tracking/allocations for accounting
Maintain SLAS Fellow Member Program by determining eligibility and invitations.
Responsible for new member onboarding
Follow up with lapsed and dropped members via surveys and phone calls
Maintain online Communities
Handle fulfillment of Corporate Member benefits
Update content on membership pages of SLAS.org and recommend content improvements
Serve as key staff member for Career Connections including job postings and job board
Maintain Volunteer page on website
Alert appropriate professional team members to requests to volunteer
Ensure compliance of volunteer membership status and disclosure forms
Update Committee rosters in database and on website
Participate in Membership Committee meetings and provide support as needed.
Coordinates SLAS Booth including temporary help, budget and supplies; leads onsite activities
Coordinates Mentor Program including collection of mentor’s information for website/promotional materials, communications and scheduling of mentor/mentee meetings, mentee resume collection
Work with event coordinator to ensure all membership activity is integrated into event registrations.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of or familiarity with AMS, preferably iMIS
Strong oral and written communication skills, customer service presence and teaming/cooperative skills for continual interaction with professional team, volunteer, members and customers
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and stay on deadline with multiple projects
Independent and effective time management with excellent organizational skills and ability to meet assigned deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a virtual office model
Education and Experience
Four-year degree in business, marketing, communications, nonprofit management or related field preferred.
Two-three years’ experience in membership, data management and/or volunteer support in an association preferred.
