In this role, you will be responsible for the management and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies and promotional campaigns for IDSA’s membership, meetings, services and the public.
FLSA Classification - Exempt
In conjunction with Director of Marketing and Member Engagement and Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Membership, implement a comprehensive strategy to increase member awareness of the association’s benefits, services and initiatives and increase engagement with IDSA.
In conjunction with Director of Communications and Director of Editorial and Policy Communications, assist with developing, writing, producing and managing communications vehicles directed to members and the public.
Work with Director of Marketing and Member Engagement to develop and implement recruitment and/or renewal activities, including but not limited to the development and management of membership marketing collateral.
Develop social media content, work with Digital and Web Manager to develop and implement a social media strategy, and engage a group of social media ambassadors to amplify the IDSA message.
Write, edit, or copyedit other IDSA and HIVMA communications materials, including newsletters, e-mails, web content, promotional publications, brochures, speeches and talking points, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
College degree in English, journalism, public relations or related field.
Three years’ experience in marketing, communication, and/or member communications programs.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Strong familiarity with AP style.
Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
A working understanding of social media mediums, as well as new and emerging communications technologies.
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills.
Ability to juggle multiple projects on multiple deadlines.
Association or nonprofit experience helpful.
General knowledge of health care, preferably infectious diseases and HIV.
