AAAHC is seeking a Manager for our Certification Programs in our Skokie, IL office.Reporting to the Director, Accreditation Services, this position is responsible for the development and revision of AAAHC certification programs including serving as subject matter expert in standards and education development, survey process design and operation. This individual will also serve as faculty for surveyor and client education programs. The Certification Program Manager will participate in ongoing certification services and special projects, in conjunction with operations team, to ensure timely delivery of certification program services from application completion through to certification decision and reporting, and providing ongoing client engagement throughout the certification cycle to ensure client continuous compliance to AAAHC standards. This role requires hands on supervision and high-level customer service to clients, surveyors and the Accreditation Committee and its work group members through delivery of account management activities.
Lead Accreditation Committee work group preparation, revise staff memos, and collaborate with the AAAHC Accreditation Committee and work groups to support timely certification decisions
Manage and participate in Account Management work flow including processing survey applications, analysis of survey reports, certification recommendations and review with Accreditation Work Groups.
Manage the certification decision process and establish goals and metrics to ensure compliance with certification policies, time commitments and targets.
Develop ongoing education and support to clients during initial certification preparation and throughout the three-year certification cycle.
Prepare periodic management reports to track department performance and report on strategic goal accomplishment
Act as an internal and external subject matter expert (SME) for standards development/revision, client and surveyor education program content and faculty, and other issues related to specialty certification.
Serve as staff liaison leadership as assigned in support of specialty certification program technical panels and collaborate with the Survey Procedures and Standards Committee (SSPC), and other AAAHC governance units as appropriate for development and execution of the program.
Contribute subject matter expertise to Marketing & Business Development collateral development including brochure development, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and website content, and tradeshow/exhibit participation.
Support innovation and improvement through review and analysis of certification findings; review deficiency data and clinical measures to evaluate the certification program effectiveness, and provide input to standards refinement and education curriculum.
Participate in random surveys as necessary as a program quality assurance/quality improvement measure.
Participate in clinical review and triage of complaints and adverse events.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with active license; Graduate or advanced health care degree preferred
Minimum 5 years clinical experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting; Orthopaedic nursing experience preferred
Experience with accreditation either in an ambulatory setting or with another accreditor preferred
At least 2 years recent experience in management/supervisory roles
Demonstrated experience serving as faculty to large audiences; excellent presentation skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and aptitude to learn new technology
