This position creates and implements strategy to diversify and strengthen ICF’s global network to ensure sustainable growth in accordance with the ICF strategic plan. This position will further develop infrastructure in the global organization through collaboration and leadership of the Regional Support System. Operating as a point of integration for regional and global information, working closely with the ICF Staff and teams of volunteers, this role will identify and cultivate opportunities to increase sustainable growth and communication.
Location: Lexington or Remote
Leads ICF’s Regional Support System (Regional Support Teams, Membership Experience Director, Connections within ICF Regions, etc.), and supports further development and establishment of infrastructure in emerging markets
Implementation and enhancement of existing leadership development programs including Global Leaders Forums and Chapter Leadership Mentor program, supporting competency-based leadership models.
Evaluate and enhance relationship based, connection driven culture within the chapters, regions, and regional support teams
Supports a performance management process for all stakeholders to measure and evaluate progress in chapter development.
Collaborates with Regional Support Team and Marketing resources to assist developing membership growth and communication strategy
Provides connection between the Regional System and the Global Board of Directors
Develops and sustains inter-regional communication systems
Drives visibility of regional activities within the global systems
Supports the senior staff and Board of Directors in alignment with strategic plan within the global community and develop innovative vehicles of communication between the individual units.
Establishes KPIs, roles, responsibilities and structure for the Regional Support Team and nurtures relationships between remote and headquarters based global staff
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A graduate degree or combined education or related experience and a minimum of five years of business management, association management and or industry experience preferred.
Experience in successful leadership and development of remote teams
Excellent interpersonal skills to develop healthy relationships and trust within the system
Experience working with volunteers, and a nonprofit Board of Directors.
Experience working with a multi-cultural membership, global organization and chapter structure.
Innovative problem-solving skills
Proven business and financial management experience.
Ability to develop a strong and healthy team culture
Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing to a diverse audience.
