This position manages specialized SGO events, subsidized by the Foundation for Women’s Cancer and other supporters, in addition to involvement in other areas of association management as required. This position requires project management skills, multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.
Serve as lead project manager for Survivor Course programs.
Conduct pre-planning calls with Survivor Course Program Directors and their assistant, if applicable.
Manage registration (Constant Contact) and maintain registration tracking report for all Survivor Courses.
Staff Liaison to Speakers for all Survivor Courses. Send Speaker Confirmation emails, collect Presentations, and assist with travel needs, if applicable.
Identify advocacy organizations and industry corporations to participate in Survivor Courses as exhibitors.
Monitor Survivor Course webpage, and update meeting information (WordPress).
Travel to events and work closely with vendors and hotel/institution staff to execute logistics, as needed.
Maintain historical reports and other project management tools utilized by teams involved in Survivor Course execution.
Process check requests, issue reimbursements, and track receipts for all Survivor Courses.
Reconcile bills/invoices for all Survivor Course, checking for accuracy and disputing any erroneous charges.
In addition to meeting logistics, this person must be willing to answer phone calls and respond promptly and clearly to emails.
Other duties as assigned to support the SGO Meetings Department.
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from a (4) year college or university and possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Three to five years of meetings or hotel experience is required, and CMP is preferred.
