The Member Engagement Manager is charged with overseeing the daily membership activities to support recruitment, retention and engagement growth. The Manager is responsible for understanding our entire membership base to ensure our members are receiving value through communications, member benefits and positive experiences virtually and in person. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for recognizing emerging trends in the field of supply chain and, in response, making recommendations for enhancements to better serve our membership.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Maintain the day-to-day membership activities and ensure members receive a positive customer experience. As the subject matter expert for member/customer experience, provide continuous insights and recommendations to grow membership.
Lead the APICS online discussion community by:
Increasing engagement in the online communities
Managing subject matter expert (SME) volunteers
Monitoring discussions and posts
Reporting trends and other KPI metrics
Generating new ideas and researching industry trends to enhance the platform
Manage and develop engagement strategies to increase value for the APICS Job Board
Contribute to Member and Partner Newsletters
Manage the membership webpages on APICS website, all membership collateral (member brochure, renewal notices, APICS partner resources, etc.) and regular email communications
Develop and execute membership webinars (on member benefits)
Manage all regular communications from Message Center and other email platforms in conjunction with Marketing
Point of contact for Customer Service and other departments
Manage the Membership inbox
Responsible for maintaining and developing FAQs and SOPs for internal use as well as APICS Partners related to membership
Assists with development of projects and testing
Other duties, as assigned
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing or related discipline
Three to five years of professional experience
Prior experience working in or with associations is preferred
Experience with online community platforms
HTML and content management skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written);
Ability to use Aptify (AMS) proficiently to assist in all day to day duties
Effective problem solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively establish work priorities;
Ability to work collaboratively and independently;
Strong attention to detail
