Mental Health Corporations of America (mhca), a national business association for behavioral healthcare providers located in Tallahassee, is seeking a full-time Director of Conference Services to join its five-person staff. mhca provides quarterly conferences in different locations across the U.S. for its members. Duties include but are not limited to: conducting conference site selection and contract negotiations, managing room block and pickup, planning and on-site coordination of conference logistics with hotel and its various staff, speakers, exhibitors and attendees.
Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Must be very well organized with extreme attention to detail and customer service, creative, self-motivated, trustworthy and reliable, with excellent teamwork and communication skills. Must be able to travel (fly) to out of state meetings up to 4 weeks per year as well as travel during the year to vet sites for future conferences.
