NAR supports over 1,300 state and local REALTOR® associations, with locations in all 50 states. As a full-time NAR staff member on the Association Leadership Development team, the Director of Association HR Outreach serves as a subject matter expert and strategic business partner for REALTOR® Association Executives (AEs) and volunteer leadership. The HR Outreach Director will manage a variety of HR projects and ongoing work by providing consulting, support, and HR expertise to state and local associations in all 50 states. The position requires experience with executive recruiting, organization and pay structures, HR policies and compliance, employee relations, and strategic workforce planning. This position will be responsible for meeting targeted outreach goals and managing a fee for service budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Set goals to achieve expected outreach and revenue targets
Conduct executive searches and provide general recruiting assistance
Provide human resources and association management consulting to state/local association executives and their leadership
Facilitate strategic planning sessions
Provide leadership and guidance on employee relations issues
Conduct workforce planning sessions (a background in organization design/development desirable)
Develop and facilitate training programs and courses tailored to the needs of the state/ local associations
Work with the Association HR Outreach Coordinator on recruiting and compensation analysis assignments, and other projects for state/ local associations.
Proactively identify and develop relationships that create new consulting opportunities
Ability to travel up to 50%
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or Related Field; PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
At least 7 years’ related experience required; senior-level consulting, working with volunteer leaders or associations experience preferred
Results oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a team environment
Ability to balance diplomacy and tact with confidence and conviction relative to recommendations
Adept at using new technologies to conduct business communications and facilitate distance learning (Adobe Connect, GoToMeeting, Skype for Business)
Creativity in marketing and promoting service-based offerings and solid business development skills with a track record of increased revenue
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
