This position is housed within the ACEP Corporate Development (CD) department; responsible for securing over 6 million per year in non-dues revenue. This individual assists the CD team by cultivating new relationships with pharmaceutical and medical equipment manufacturers to obtain funding for ACEP, the Society of Emergency Medicine Physicians (SEMPA) and Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF) programs, physician and patient campaigns, and other identified meeting sponsorship opportunities. In addition, this position will also develop and submit grant proposals for CME and non-CME educational grants to support ACEP’s education initiatives.
This individual also manages ACEP and SEMPA exhibit staff.
1.Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent related experience
2.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fundraising,
3. Project management including planning, budgeting and contract management
4.Contacts with pharmaceutical and medical equipment executives
5. Personal computer skills including spreadsheets and word processing
6.Proven track record in securing large (six-figure) corporate sponsorships and grants
7.Ability to successfully grow and sustain corporate accounts
National medical association management experience is a plus.
