SCOPE: The Conference Planning Coordinator serves essential planning, creative and support functions within the Conference Planning department. The successful candidate will work with the conference planning team to assist in the logistical planning and administration of continuing education programs, and also interface with the communications & marketing team to assist in implementing the Institute’s overall communications & market strategy, through the use of print and electronic media.

EDUCATION: Undergraduate degree preferred. CMP or other industry-recognized professional designation a plus.
The successful candidate will have good familiarity with the meeting process (including design, development, delivery and administration) as well as an understanding of current communications means and methods (e.g., web-based and social media). Ability to work with interdependent teams very important; writing and editing skills, a plus. Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize work, and attention to detail a must. Ability to travel and supervise onsite logistics for 1-3 meetings a year required (modest travel required – 5-10%).
