TRANSPORT TOPICS, the transportation industry’s award-winning weekly newspaper and up-to-the-minute website covering trucking and freight transportation, is actively seeking an energetic and results driven Vice President of Sales. The ideal candidate possesses excellent leadership skills and a desire to make a measurable difference to company performance. The role requires well-articulated communication skills to maintain and build a strong market position as well as gain additional market share.
The VP of Sales will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales team, and will develop sales plans as well as forecast and collaborate with marketing to ensure retention and expansion of services to clients.
The incumbent in this role, in conjunction with the Publisher and the Vice President of Business Operations, determines all media rates and budgeted pages for all publications.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a field or fields related to marketing, economics, business management, science or engineering is preferred. Minimum eight years print and digital advertising sales experience at the national level. Successful experience with in-person sales presentations, RFP responses, and marketing campaigns. Extensive travel is required.
This position comes with a salary plus commission and a competitive benefits package.
