The Senior Manager, Education is responsible for ensuring that education programs are delivered to support the mission of Association Forum. In this critical, high touch role, you will manage all educational aspects of Forum’s Signature Programs including Holiday Showcase, Women’s Executive Forum and Forum Forward as well as year-round education programs. This position serves a prominent role in Association Forum’s customer service (welcoming environment) efforts.
Essential Job Functions:
Identify and curate external subject matter experts as speakers for signature event education sessions in collaboration with President & CEO and Vice President, Membership & Education;
Leverage Association Forum’s content strategy to build engaging education programs;
Manage speaker and moderator communications and logistics pre-event and during event;
Onsite management of registration;
Enter/maintain education events and activities in NetForum (event database);
Manage student registration inquiries and troubleshoot with technology provider as needed.
Support logistical set up for events including F/B and room set;
Collaborate with marketing department on the execution of marketing efforts to increase attendance and retention, ensuring that program descriptions are consistent and include learner outcomes;
Analyze student surveys to inform development of future programming;
Prepare, monitor, and adhere to budget for assigned education events or activities.
Signature Events (Holiday Showcase, Forum Forward and Women’s Executive Forum)
In addition to the job functions listed above, you will perform the following tasks unique to Forum’s signature events.
Working with Vice President of Membership and Education to serve as the staff liaison to the volunteer advisory groups overseeing the signature program including documenting minutes, coordinating meetings, and coordinating proposal selection for signature events;
Working with Vice President of Membership and Education, development of education content and program structure
Manage relationship with external registration software provider;
Set up and manage event registration system;
Run weekly registration reports and report to staff;
Support special events and programming in conjunction with signature events.
Revenue: Women’s Executive Forum Program , Forum Forward, Holiday Showcase, House Calls Program,
Expenses: Logistic Registration; Food/Beverage; Audio Visual; and other expenses related to speakers and attendees.
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:
Education: Bachelor’s in business, non-profit management, education, communications or related field.
Credentials (years of experience): Two to five years of education or event experience required, preferably in associations. CMP or CAE designation preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Superior ability to communicate, foster and develop relationships with Association Forum members and students required. Excellent written and communication skills with proven ability to drive projects assigned to completion required. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work on a wide variety of tasks independently and in a team structure is required. Ability to learn, adapt and utilize emerging technology. Ability to utilize social media to deliver results. Team player and openness to work on other projects as assigned. Well organized, goal oriented and high attention to details. Comfortable working in a fast pace work environment.
