About the Position:
The Manager is a creative and experienced individual tasked with working collaboratively across the ISOC organization to develop and manage digital advocacy, online fundraising campaigns and engagement with ISOC’s individual members and donors. The Manager will be the connection between the strategic campaigns of ISOC’s mission and the members, supporters and donors we would like to take action. The incumbent in this role is responsible for translating short and long term organizational goals into a holistic outreach and engagement strategy, initiatives and tactics that develop and support the mission of the Internet Society. We want a person who wakes up every morning wanting to better understand and support our Membership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Manage on-line community engagement through both public and private social media and the ISOC portals.
Provide day-to-day management for community usage, value and activity for all member types on the ISOC Engagement platform (Connect).
Provide day-to-day support to our membership via all contact points (email, online portal, phone) in using our tools, updating or changing their information and answering inquiries, as examples.
Update membership and other community data in the Aptify Association Management System (AMS) as required.
Collect, monitor and measure critical supporter / membership metrics and report on them.
Collaborate with the program departments to address the needs of specialized communities within the program areas and launch outreach to those communities.
Working with the Membership Services team and Communications team, develop, launch and manage multi-channel advocacy and fundraising campaigns. Key campaign tactics will include email, online petitions, online donations, membership drives (online and physical), events, social media, website content marketing, and more.
Work with staff across the organization to develop and deliver effective multi-channel campaigns to our membership and online communities.
Work to ensure successful promotion and engagement of our campaigns with our membership on ISOC Portals.
Develop and incorporate testing strategies into campaigns.
Assist in development reports summarizing the results of multi-channel campaigns.
Bachelor’s degree, or related experience, 3+ years of association, non-profit-related or business-to-business experience; involved with international organizations or companies.
Minimum two years’ professional experience in digital advocacy and fundraising, ideally with experience working on progressive international advocacy causes and/or political or electoral campaigns.
Knowledge of digital engagement best practices as well as membership and donor support is critical.
Experience in digital communications (including email marketing, website maintenance etc.). and on-line community development.
Understanding of the challenges of working with a large and diverse international member base.
Working knowledge of eCRMs (Aptify, Salesforce, or other Association Membership Management Systems, and email delivery systems like BlueHornet or MailChimp) and their technical capabilities as they relate to digital strategy and campaign planning is a plus.
Familiarity with web analytics and data driven decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal skills, fluency (verbal and written) in English. Proficiency in one other language preferably French or Spanish preferred.
Excellent writing skills, able to create, approve and manage content production.
Ability to handle and prioritize many projects concurrently, good attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records for reporting using organization systems and databases.
Knowledge of basic HTML programming and other programming languages a plus.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic communication applications and tools essential.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated experience in cross-cultural environments and effectiveness in managing collaboration between individuals with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
